  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, plan activities in advance, solve problems, and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of repeated bending and kneeling, reaching all areas of the hotel, occasional standing, and carrying or lifting files and office items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts through profitable, mutually beneficial sales approaches.
  • Manage accounts that require travel throughout the year and negotiate rates for accounts that travel consistently.
  • Target results-oriented, high-revenue-potential sales calls in accordance with departmental budgets and marketing plans.
  • Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Capture competitor accounts through networking, research, and reader-board surveys.
  • Acquire referrals from existing accounts and follow up on leads within 48 hours to create new business for the hotel.
  • Send leads to other Sage hotels when appropriate.
  • Plan and implement an ongoing targeted account-development list to create new revenue and acquire hotel contacts and contracts.
  • Prospect for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity, and innovation.
  • Use yield-management techniques to negotiate room rates and function-space commitments profitably.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and current account files and trace systems.
  • Develop customer relationships through frequent communication and professional, courteous, and ethical interactions.
  • Develop customer profiles and maintain trace dates and references to meet client needs and increase revenue.
  • Follow up promptly on customer needs and inquiries.
  • Conduct research, surveys, personal investigations, and marketplace and territory studies to capitalize on the hotel’s strengths and competitors’ weaknesses and capabilities.
  • Dedicate at least 90% of work time to direct sales efforts and control travel expenses on the property’s behalf.
  • Represent the hotel and Sage Development Resources, Inc. with integrity, professionalism, and a service-focused approach.
  • Maintain positive collaboration and open communication with hotel departments and co-workers.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and businesslike appearance.
