Requirements
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Eligibility for or current possession of unrestricted Oregon and Washington medical licenses.
  • Expertise in clinical practice and administration across the full range of inpatient and outpatient maternal-fetal medicine services, including ultrasound and echocardiology.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital and regularly scheduled clinical coverage at contracted regional sites.
  • Provide comprehensive care to maternal-fetal medicine patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, including inpatient and outpatient services, ultrasound, consultations, procedures, and deliveries.
  • Deliver clinical performance in compliance with applicable American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, state, federal, and institutional regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in faculty meetings at the division and department levels.
  • Aid the division head and department chair in directing the division and department through daily activities and ongoing strategic planning.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, which may include educating learners, clinical research, grant-supported work, academic papers, and presentations.
  • Partner with providers and departmental or divisional research support staff in research activities.
  • Participate in clinical research as needed, often with research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators.
  • Provide clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in obstetrics and gynecology rotations.
  • Provide formal and informal feedback and evaluations to learners working in maternal-fetal medicine.
  • Educate and provide feedback to trainees in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program.
  • Provide feedback and guidance for the continuing development and improvement of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program.
  • Engage in scholarly research directed toward understanding, detecting, and treating diseases or improving the educational foundation within perinatal medicine.
  • Participate in approved public service and additional departmental or hospital administration as directed by the chair or supervising division head.
