Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment.
Must have working knowledge of English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Responsibilities
Support the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, including entering patient and prescription information, aiding in dispensing prescription orders, managing transactions, stocking inventory, and serving as lead to other technicians.
Serve as the lead technician by acting as a role model and training others in Pharmacy Technician processes.
Enter patient information and prescription orders in the computer.
Interact with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication problems and facilitate prescription processing.
Profile and aid in dispensing prescription orders under pharmacist supervision, which may include training in prescription compounding of specialty medications.
Manage cash register transactions courteously to help complete the patient experience positively.
Complete daily cash and check reconciliation and the daily sales sheet, and submit them to the finance department for posting to monthly revenue.
Manage and order over-the-counter inventory and assist with prescription inventory management to meet budgetary goals; train others in this process and ensure its completion.
Deliver customer service using Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety and patient preferences and support effective communication with patients and families.
Role-model the principles of a Just Culture.
Perform other duties as assigned and remain HIPAA compliant.
