About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in distributed systems, storage engineering, or data architecture, with a track record of applying that expertise to drive customer outcomes and revenue.
  • At least 5 years of experience with multi-cloud networking and data transfer protocols including S3, rsync, and WAN optimization in a customer-facing or deal-shaping capacity.
  • Deep working knowledge of storage technologies including NVMe-over-Fabric, POSIX filesystems, and object storage, with the ability to translate that knowledge into commercial differentiation.
  • Experience deploying and tuning large-scale SQL, NoSQL, or vector database clusters and positioning that capability against customer migration and modernization requirements.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, peering, and high-speed data interconnects as they relate to data gravity, egress cost modeling, and enterprise deal structure.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes-native storage orchestration, including CSI drivers and persistent volumes, and its impact on workload portability and platform stickiness.
  • Ability to explain business strategy and data architecture and storage tradeoffs in the same meeting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder technical evaluations without losing momentum.
  • Applicants must meet U.S. export-control access requirements as a U.S. person, as otherwise eligible to access the information without authorization, or as eligible and reasonably likely to obtain required export authorization.
Responsibilities
  • Own the commercial and technical strategy for net-new customer wins in data infrastructure, where storage architecture, data mobility, and pipeline design are primary buying triggers.
  • Drive new business opportunities where data migration complexity, egress costs, or multi-cloud sprawl is a barrier to GPU adoption at scale.
  • Translate customer requirements around data lakes, vector databases, and high-speed storage tiers into product feedback that shapes the storage roadmap.
  • Develop deal structures, technical playbooks, and benchmark narratives to help sales and solution-architecture teams accelerate storage-heavy opportunities.
  • Engage directly with enterprise buyers as the authoritative voice on data gravity, multi-cloud networking, and the total cost of moving workloads to CoreWeave.
  • Design the commercial framework for multi-petabyte data pipeline deals, including egress cost modeling and GPU utilization commitments, to support large enterprise closings.
  • Partner with capacity and infrastructure teams to maintain competitive storage efficiency, performance, and security across active and prospective customer deployments.
  • Translate early-customer needs into priorities that shape the data and storage roadmap and establish repeatable adoption patterns for sales and solution architects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience driving new business or shaping product strategy in high-density compute and data industries such as Financial Services, Biotech and Life Sciences, or Media and Entertainment.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, solution consulting, or product management supporting large-scale enterprise data infrastructure decisions.
  • Deep understanding of multi-cloud networking architecture and secure data egress and ingress strategies, particularly where compliance and data residency requirements are active deal variables.
  • An advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to operate at the intersection of technical architecture and commercial strategy.

What believers are saying

  • Demand is compounding: August 2026 results showed CoreWeave quarterly revenue more than doubled to $2.58 billion.
  • Contracts support expansion: CoreWeave reported $104 billion of June 2026 backlog, subject to service delivery.
  • Eligible U.S. employees buy discounted equity: CoreWeave's purchase plan prices shares 15% below the lower opening or closing price.

What critics are saying

  • Customer losses threaten stability: three buyers supplied 72% of CoreWeave's Q2 2026 revenue.
  • Borrowing consumes revenue: CoreWeave's net interest expense reached $640 million in Q2 2026, reported in August 2026.
  • Afton technicians face urgent callouts: CoreWeave requires onsite emergency response within 60 minutes during scheduled on-call shifts.

What makes CoreWeave unique

  • Hardware access stays direct: CoreWeave runs Kubernetes on bare metal, without a virtualization layer.
  • Support skips nontechnical handoffs: CoreWeave says customers reach engineers cross-trained across its stack directly.
  • Top AI labs use CoreWeave: the company says nine of ten leading foundation model providers rely on its cloud.

CoreWeave stock falls 15% a day after Cramer's endorsement as bond yields hit 15%

CoreWeave stock fell nearly 15% on Wednesday, a day after Jim Cramer told CNBC viewers it was the only "neocloud" company he trusts. The shares traded at $65.93, below the lowest analyst target of $74. The slide followed a bond sell-off that pushed yields on $1.25 billion of notes due 2032 to a record close of 14.5%, up from 9.625% at issue in June. CoreWeave rents Nvidia chips to artificial intelligence (AI) developers. Its debt reached about $52 billion by June, more than its roughly $37 billion market value. Interest costs rose to $640 million in the April-to-June quarter from $267 million a year earlier, and it lost $626 million on revenue of $2.58 billion. Nebius fell about 10% and Oracle 7% in the same session.

CoreWeave grows 112% vs AWS's 37%, but catching Amazon's $42.2B quarterly revenue would take nearly seven years

CoreWeave is growing far faster than Amazon Web Services (AWS), but is unlikely to overtake the cloud leader soon. AWS holds about 28% of the cloud infrastructure market. In the second quarter, AWS revenue rose 37% year over year to $42.2 billion. CoreWeave's revenue grew 112% to $2.1 billion, making AWS about 20 times larger. AWS has a backlog of $496 billion, against nearly $100 billion for CoreWeave. If both kept their current growth rates, CoreWeave would need almost seven years to match AWS, which is unlikely. CoreWeave also is not profitable. Unlike Amazon, it has no profitable business to fund its expansion, so it must take on debt and issue shares to build data centres.

CoreWeave expands to India with Adani data center venture.

CoreWeave expands to India with Adani data center venture. Vlad Schepkov Investing.com - CoreWeave Inc. announced today it will establish its first data centers in India through a partnership with AdaniConneX Pvt., a joint venture between Adani Group and EdgeConneX. The AI cloud-computing provider will utilize 240 megawatts of capacity at AdaniConneX's Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai, with an option to expand to 480 megawatts. The New Jersey-based company also plans to open an office in India. The total investment is projected to reach multiple billions of dollars throughout the project's duration. The first data centers are scheduled to begin operations in mid-2028. CoreWeave will install Nvidia Corp. Vera Rubin chips at the facilities for tasks including training and operating models, managing reasoning functions, and supporting AI agents. The move represents CoreWeave's continued geographic expansion in Asia. The company revealed its initial Asian entry in August with projects in Indonesia. Last month, CEO Mike Intrator stated the company is "largely sold out" of capacity. CoreWeave reported approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power in August, comparable to the output of four nuclear reactors. AdaniConneX is separately involved in a large-scale data center project in India for Alphabet Inc.'s Google. According to a July Wood Mackenzie report, India's data center capacity is expected to grow from 2.2 gigawatts built over three decades to 12 gigawatts by 2030. AI-specific capacity is forecast to increase nearly 24-fold to 6.5 gigawatts. CoreWeave shares traded about 2% lower in pre-market trading today after rising 4.95% on Tuesday. Original Article
