About the job
- Higher education in computer science at Bac+5 level or equivalent.
- Three to five years of confirmed experience as a Cloud Engineer or IT Production Engineer.
- Experience managing Kubernetes deployments, services, and ingress, operating Kubernetes, and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Linux Ubuntu administration and configuration, including disk management, Apache, and Windows Server environments.
- Infrastructure as Code and automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
- Observability experience with Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Logstash, and Gogstash.
- Knowledge of ITIL change, incident, and problem management.
- Analytical and complex problem-solving ability.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to industrialize operations.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Service orientation and understanding of the business impact of IT platforms.
- Strong continuous-improvement mindset.
- Analyze incident and problem tickets, particularly complex ones, and track them in the backlog through resolution; contribute to incident reviews and lessons learned.
- Operate a fleet of more than 1,000 virtual machines, including approximately 100 Windows and 1,000 Linux machines.
- Operate more than 500 applications across IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS platforms.
- Ensure environment stability and proper platform operation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platforms and their observability.
- Anticipate hardware needs, perform load tests, and design resilient systems using chaos engineering, redundancy, and failure tests or game days.
- Participate in the team's rotating weekly on-call duty and ensure platform availability 24/7.
- Contribute to implementing technical and/or application probes before production releases.
- Help integrate observability tools for application teams.
- Support product teams in implementing and operating observability for their applications, including monitoring, logs, and alerting.
- Advise and support application teams on technical changes and application-solution observability.
- Write technical instructions and procedures to help the first-line support team resolve incidents independently.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- API management experience, including managing API consumers.
- Kafka knowledge, including topics and producing and consuming data streams.
