About the Company

Nevada National Security Site

Manages nuclear deterrent stewardship and emergencies

The Nevada National Security Site supports national security by maintaining the U.S. nuclear deterrent, providing nuclear and radiological emergency response capabilities and training, and advancing nonproliferation efforts, while also preserving the environment of its Cold War legacy. It uses specialized facilities, labs, simulations, and controlled experiments to develop and demonstrate detection, response, and stewardship capabilities in collaboration with national laboratories and federal agencies. Its approach combines government-led missions with hands-on testing, emergency training, and environmental stewardship, setting it apart through its integrated, federally overseen program. The goal is to strengthen national security by keeping a safe deterrent, improving emergency response and nonproliferation work, supporting national-lab experiments, and protecting the environment for future generations.
