The Role

As a Salesforce Scrum Master, you will be a servant-leader and facilitator for one or more of our Salesforce Scrum teams. Your primary goal is to help the team excel in delivering high-value features efficiently and predictably. You will be responsible for ensuring the team lives by the values and practices of Scrum, while also navigating the unique technical constraints and release management processes of the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Facilitation & Process Leadership (40%)

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) effectively, ensuring they are productive, time-boxed, and focused.
• Remove impediments for the team, whether they are technical, resource-related, or organizational in nature.
• Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions during the sprint to ensure a focus on committed work.
• Coach the team on Agile and Scrum principles, helping them to become self-organizing and cross-functional.

Salesforce-Specific Agile Execution (30%)

• Work closely with the team to understand and manage the technical constraints of the Salesforce platform (e.g., governor limits, data model dependencies, release cycles).
• Collaborate with Salesforce Architects and Product Owners to break down complex epics into manageable user stories that align with Salesforce best practices.
• Understand and integrate Salesforce-specific development, testing, and deployment processes (e.g., use of sandboxes, change sets, CI/CD pipelines) into the Scrum framework.
• Facilitate risk management related to Salesforce releases, including dependency mapping with other integrated systems.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (30%)

• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, with an emphasis on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress through appropriate metrics (e.g., burndown charts).
• Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum across the organization.
• Assist the Product Owner with techniques for effective Product Backlog management and refinement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Certifications:
  • Must Have: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I).
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team.
  • Proven experience working directly with Salesforce delivery teams (e.g., working on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Practical experience with Jira or a similar Agile project management tool.
• Skills:
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong situational awareness and the ability to be a servant leader.
  • A continuous learning mindset and a passion for coaching teams to high performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • Advanced Scrum Master certification (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM II).
  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Experience:
  • Experience in scaling agile frameworks (like SAFe, LeSS) in a large organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Flosum, Gearset, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Previous background as a Salesforce Business Analyst, Administrator, or Developer is a significant plus
