Requirements
  • Experience in management consulting or an operational leadership role (5+ years)
  • Strong command of data and analytics, with ability to write SQL, manipulate Excel, create dashboards (Python a plus)
  • Top-in-class project management capabilities, with ability to structure ambiguous issues simply, make key strategic decision, work with various cross-functional stakeholders, and drive through walls to achieve results
  • Structured thinking, excellent synthesizing and clear communication
  • Tendency to self-start and respond to problems independently and proactively
  • Ability to work across stakeholders of many levels and across multiple functions (high emotional intelligence)
  • Low ego with a growth mindset (no task too small or repetitive, seek to serve others on the team)
  • Comfort with ambiguity - biz ops is most effective when able to flex into different business needs at different times in the company's development

Responsibilities
  • Support leadership with critical questions related to Shef's long and short-term success (e.g., defining market equilibrium between supply and demand, market sizing new opportunities, new logistics models)
  • Drive complex and strategic projects that span multiple functions and require cross-functional buy-in and execution
  • Regularly identify insights and business opportunities to share with the broader team and leadership
  • Build the tools, processes, and dashboards to empower the operations team
  • Work with local GMs to set business targets, and evaluate impact of various projects and initiatives using analytics
  • In time, build out a small team of biz ops analysts, and help define projects for the team
