Compensation Overview

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Setup and integrate the car IT Architecture in the Universal Testing System (UTS) for Pre-series and Series Production.
• Integrate New Technology into the car-IT Architecture interface that enhances test system’s performance and compatibility.
• Planning, Coordination, and Implement Equipment and Process in the new Car-IT Architecture test system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define optimal Commissioning Sequences and Processes.
• Develop software programs or scripts to support commissioning vehicles process and test procedure specifications.
• Program sequence code for various equipment such as ALS (Automated Guided Vehicle Systems), roller benches, fluid filling systems in the Universal Testing System.
• Develop check programs to ensure vehicle build and function quality.
• Derive solutions to optimize inspection specifications.
• Develop short-term solutions for production problems.
• Identify potential process risks in production processes and develop counter measures to prevent vehicle loss.
• Maintain and improve program process sustainability.
• Assess the usability of check programs under series production conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product and process quality.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina, starting 2025. Until then, you will be required to be in the Detroit, MI area frequently. Applicants should expect the role to require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on the company’s behalf.

• Minimum 3 years professional experience with expertise in automotive manufacturing engineering, production planning or project management.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical, electrical, software engineering or equivalent field.
• Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as C++, C#, Java or similar preferred
• Strong skills at organizational navigation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; adept at developing effective partnerships and relationships.
• Proficient in analytical and conceptual thinking, employing logic and reason in both creative and strategic contexts.
• Demonstrated ability in creative and strategic problem-solving, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000-$135,000
