Network Cabling & Low Voltage Technician
About the job
- At least 4 years of hands-on data infrastructure experience.
- Working knowledge of BICSI standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
- Experience with fiber terminations, copper patch panels, and cable testing equipment.
- Familiarity with Internet Protocol and analog video cabling.
- Comfort using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted, work at heights, and perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Pull, route, terminate, and test CAT6/CAT6A copper and single-mode and multi-mode fiber cable in new and existing buildings.
- Install and dress copper patch panels; label and test all connections.
- Install cable support structures including racks, J-hooks, and related hardware.
- Mount and connect security cameras, wireless access points, and other low-voltage equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose voice and data line issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Keep company vehicles clean and organized.
- Prior construction site experience.
