About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, is required.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and corporate governance is required.
- Analytical, communication, and report-writing skills are required.
- The candidate must be able to manage audit teams and complex audit projects.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity are required.
- Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement internal audit strategies, plans, and programs aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead and manage the internal audit team in conducting audits across departments and projects.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance structures.
- Identify operational, financial, and compliance risks and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key findings and follow-up actions.
- Ensure adherence to auditing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies and tools to enhance audit effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and training on audit best practices throughout the organization.
- CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience in the real estate or construction industry is a plus.
