  • Experience leading a membership, community, or association-based business, with accountability for growth and retention.
  • Direct experience with coaching or mentoring programs, as a coach, program leader, or leader of a coaching organization.
  • A track record of holding a margin target while funding growth, including sequencing investment rather than funding everything at once.
  • Experience with a business model where some monetization sits outside the immediate P&L, such as attach, cross-sell, or ecosystem economics.
  • Experience leading a brand refresh, website relaunch, or customer-facing platform launch.
  • Experience designing membership tiers and benefit packages, including defining, pricing, and defending value at renewal.
  • Experience producing in-person conferences, retreats, or large member events, with accountability for content quality and event P&L.
  • Experience building and managing a distributed network of coaches, mentors, contractors, or affiliated practitioners, including recruiting, quality standards, and compensation design.
  • Business acumen in pricing, forecasting, budget management, and P&L analysis.
  • Experience with a high-value recurring revenue model in which individual customer or member relationships are worth thousands of dollars annually and retention determines the outcome.
  • Marketing fluency across demand generation, brand, events, and sponsorship or partnership revenue.
  • A track record of building teams and installing systems where processes were informal or undocumented.
  • Working fluency with AI tools and judgment about where AI improves a program and where it produces filler members will notice.
  • Strong public presence and communication skills for a role visible to members and the industry.
  • Willingness to travel for DSOA events, industry conferences, and member gatherings.
  • Must be located in Austin, Texas; hybrid work is required.
  • Candidates are expected to represent their own knowledge, experience, and thinking without AI-assisted tools during interviews; AI tools are prohibited during phone, video, in-person, and case-based interviews, and their use results in disqualification.
Responsibilities
  • Own the DSOA P&L, including revenue, margin, and the annual operating plan.
  • Build the annual growth plan and deliver revenue growth and margin targets set with the executive team, maintaining a monthly forecast.
  • Define with Finance how software and payments contribution from DSOA members is attributed, and report combined member economics against it.
  • Set pricing and packaging across membership tiers, coaching programs, events, and digital products.
  • Own net revenue retention and average revenue per member as primary health metrics alongside new member growth.
  • Decide where DSOA invests in programs, headcount, marketing spend, and partnerships.
  • Identify new revenue lines, including sponsorship, certification, and expanded product offerings.
  • Contribute to TogetherWork exploratory research and planning for other small business segments, applying insights from the DSOA model about community, coaching, and retention.
  • Own member acquisition, activation, renewal, and lifetime value across all membership tiers, including Inner Circle.
  • Reduce churn through onboarding, engagement programs, and member success practices.
  • Deliver on the member value commitment at every tier.
  • Define how member value is calculated and documented so it withstands member scrutiny and renewal discussions.
  • Design new benefit types and determine what belongs in each tier, maintaining a clear distinction between standard and top tiers.
  • Manage cost to deliver against the value promise so additional benefits do not erode margin.
  • Grow revenue per member through program expansion, tier upgrades, and add-on offerings.
  • Use member data, usage signals, and direct feedback to set the roadmap for programs and benefits.
  • Build referral, community, and advocacy programs that bring in new studio owners.
  • Partner with the DanceStudio-Pro team on cross-selling software and membership.
  • Build and lead the network of more than 30 coaches, mentors, and community leaders, including recruiting, onboarding, development, compensation, and performance management.
  • Grow the network to meet member demand and program growth, maintaining a sourcing pipeline ahead of demand.
  • Build certification and onboarding standards so new coaches reach full quality faster and the member experience remains consistent as the network grows.
  • Test and benchmark coaches against defined standards on a regular cadence, using recertification and quality metrics that measure member business outcomes and are visible to members and the business.
  • Source coaches with credibility in new coaching domains as the program expands beyond studio operations.
  • Develop coaches, with particular attention to their business acumen so guidance to studio owners is financially sound.
  • Design a compensation model that protects margin as the network scales and rewards member retention and outcomes.
  • Manage coach capacity against member demand and program load, and maintain a bench for growth and coverage.
  • Resolve escalations and protect the member experience when coaching quality declines.
  • Own the end-to-end member experience and set the roadmap for a new membership portal covering content, coaching, community, and program delivery.
  • Partner with TogetherWork Product and Engineering on the portal build by defining requirements, prioritizing releases, and owning outcomes.
  • Lead a DSOA brand refresh and new website in collaboration with TogetherWork marketing and design.
  • Raise the production standard of events, content, and member communication to match a premium price point.
  • Define the member journey from first touch through renewal and set support standards for each stage.
  • Build a joint motion with DanceStudio-Pro so DSOA membership and software reinforce each other in acquisition, onboarding, and renewal.
  • Grow payments adoption and processing volume among DSOA members in partnership with the TogetherWork payments team.
  • Use coaching engagements as a natural path to software and payments adoption without making coaching a sales channel members resent.
  • Measure and report the retention and payments-attach differential between DSOA members and non-member studios, track combined retention across membership, software, and payments, and use these results to justify continued investment in coaching.
  • Own the curriculum roadmap across live coaching, on-demand training, masterminds, and intensives.
  • Expand the coaching portfolio into business growth, studio expansion, preparing for and executing a studio sale, student recruitment and enrollment growth, filling off-peak class times, managing slow seasons, and hiring and retaining teachers.
  • Add owner wellbeing coaching on burnout, workload, and resilience, with clear boundaries between coaching and licensed clinical care and a referral path when a member needs more than coaching.
  • Add financial coaching on pricing, cash flow, profitability, and owner compensation, structured to avoid regulated investment and tax advice.
  • Decide which coaching domains DSOA staffs directly and which are delivered through vetted partners.
  • Refresh program content regularly to keep it current with studio owners’ needs.
  • Measure every program on completion rate, member outcome, and contribution to retention and revenue.
  • Retire underperforming programs and reallocate investment.
  • Own an annual in-person conference end to end, including format, content, speakers, sponsorship, attendance, and financial performance.
  • Build a retreat program for top-tier members, sized and priced to encourage retention at that tier.
  • Run a virtual event calendar to keep members engaged between in-person gatherings.
  • Grow sponsorship and partner revenue across the event portfolio.
  • Own the member community experience, including peer groups and the norms that make the community worth belonging to.
  • Partner with TogetherWork marketing on demand generation, campaign performance, and funnel conversion for DSOA.

  • Represent DSOA as its public-facing leader at industry conferences, competitions, and studio owner events.
  • Build partnerships with dance organizations, vendors, and adjacent brands that add reach and revenue.
  • Own the member content engine, including podcast, social, and email programs.
  • Lead the DSOA business day to day across coaching, programming, community management, and operations, including a coach network of more than 30.
  • Coach and develop the team, grow people into larger roles, and build a bench so the business does not depend on any one person.
  • Set expectations for how coaches and staff support members, including difficult conversations about money, staffing, and whether a studio should continue operating.
  • Run the operating cadence, including weekly metrics, monthly forecasts, quarterly planning, and retrospectives.
  • Replace informal processes with documented systems that can support business growth.
  • Set hiring plans, manage to budget, and determine organizational structure as the business changes.
  • Hold the team to TogetherWork standards for accountability, self-reflection, and speed.

New innovation center by Togetherwork to staff 100+ employees off South Congress

New innovation center by Togetherwork to staff 100+ employees off South Congress. Software company Togetherwork has opened a 20,000-square-foot innovation hub off South Congress Avenue in South Austin. (Chloe Young/Community Impact) Software company Togetherwork celebrated the opening of a 20,000-square foot headquarters in South Austin in early January. The company's new innovation hub, located off South Congress Avenue, is expected to employ more than 100 people over the next year. "I think this is the greatest city to be able to attract talent. It's a really good fit for us," Togetherwork CEO Brent Warrington said in an interview with Community Impact. "Austin is a city that's never disappointed me. It's a great place to build a company." Togetherwork builds software that enables organizations to recruit, register and receive payments or fundraising from customers. The company works with a range of businesses, from religious groups, camps, nonprofits, associations and pet care companies. Togetherwork serves over 70,000 clients with more than 100 million users across its platforms, Warrington said. The South Congress innovation center offers a hybrid work environment for around 40-50 Austin-area employees and an office space for over 700 remote employees to visit. "All this really supports what we think is the future of the work model, which is more hybrid-based than anything," Warrington said. Togetherwork may eventually expand in Austin with the goal of hiring more than 200 people over the next two to three years, Warrington said. "We're a fast-growing software company, so we welcome being here and being able to tap into this Austin talent pool, which is deep," he said. * Opened Jan. 7 * 1221 South Congress Ave., Ste. 300, Austin * www.togetherwork.com Chloe is a health care and education reporter covering Austin, Liberty Hill and Georgetown ISDs. Fintech firm Togetherwork moves HQ to Austin, plans to hire 250 over next 2 years

Fintech firm Togetherwork moves HQ to Austin, plans to hire 250 over next 2 years. A new financial technology company is relocating its headquarters to Austin, adding to the city's growing roster of software firms. Togetherwork Holdings LLC, an all-in-one software and payment technology company founded in 2015, has moved its corporate headquarters to Austin from Atlanta, setting up shop on South Congress Avenue and preparing to hire hundreds of new employees. "People live in Austin because they're passionate about it, they love it here," Togetherwork CEO Brent Warrington told the American-Statesman. "It was the best fit I've ever had. We haven't had any trouble attracting talent or trouble getting clients that want to come to, or are already in, Austin. We feel like the stars are aligning. I'm a bit biased. This is my home. But even if it wasn't my home, it would be hard pressed to find a better city to land and build a large collaboration center or office." Togetherwork's new 20,000-square-foot office at 1221 S. Congress Ave., above the luxury brand Hermès' storefront, is a "dream come true" for the 30-year fintech veteran. Warrington, who joined Togetherwork in May 2025, calls himself a "serial relocator of companies to Austin." Togetherwork is one of several companies he has led and helped bring to the city. While CEO and chairman of Hyperwallet, a global fintech company, Warrington moved its headquarters to Austin in 2016, before the firm was acquired two years later by PayPal. The company still has a significant presence in North Austin. Before leading Hyperwallet, he headed two Austin-based fintech companies: SecureNet, which was acquired by Worldpay in 2014, and FundsXpress Financial Network, which was acquired by First Data in 2007. He worked at Irish fintech firm Planet before joining Togetherwork last year. "The only reason I wasn't downtown with those companies was I couldn't afford it in the past," Warrington said. "So this, on South Congress, is my dream come true as a CEO to finally, after 30 years, locate a company in Austin in the center of it all. I just love it here. I think there's no better city for talent, people, energy and everything that I want to bring to my company." The company's new South Congress offices, formerly home to Frog Design, will serve as a collaborative workspace for finance and marketing teams, with employees rotating in from around the country. Warrington said most of the Togetherwork's 700 global employees work hybrid or remotely, but Togetherwork still plans to hire about 250 employees locally over the next 18 to 24 months.
