Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in technical writing and editing.
  • Proficiency in writing and editing technical content.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, plain language.
  • Strong attention to grammar, style, and consistency.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business technology.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is ideal.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio, with the ability to learn other tools as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit, and finalize the content of Regional Cultural Resources Identification Field Guides.
  • Translate technical information into plain language.
  • Ensure clarity, readability, and consistency across all sections of the guides.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the guides are informative and accessible to Farm Service Agency staff with varying levels of expertise.
  • Produce thorough, accurate, and appropriately documented work products that comply with established criteria.
  • Perform duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
