Requirements
  • A Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • The position is contingent upon favorable funding.
  • A background in biology, bioengineering, and/or molecular biology is expected.
  • Background checks may be required after a conditional job offer.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct biochemical and molecular biology assays related to gene editing.
  • Conduct mouse studies related to gene editing.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, particularly recordkeeping.
  • Assist principal investigators, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows with experimental procedures and analyses.
  • Conduct data analyses.
  • Develop protocols and study reports.
  • Initiate, contribute to, and manage the development of multiple gene editing projects.
  • Assist the research team in generating study reports covering project development, research design, data collection, and quantitative analyses.
  • Assist the research team in preparing manuscripts, publications, and grant applications.
  • Train and supervise staff, interface with existing postdoctoral fellows and students in the laboratory, and oversee recordkeeping for laboratory projects to facilitate regulatory submissions.
  • Work closely with principal investigators to ensure the success of research studies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with in vitro and in vivo gene editing and/or gene therapy is highly desired.
