Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in public accounting
  • CPA is required
  • Workiva experience
  • Functional experience with Oracle platforms a plus
  • Prior experience in managing and developing employees
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
  • Extremely proficient in Excel
  • Detailed oriented, result driven, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, ability to work cross functionally
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Technology and/or media experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute the SEC financial reporting process involving the preparation and filling of Company's Forms 10-Q, Form 10-K, and other filings as needed
  • Responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and completing GAAP checklists
  • Strong technical accounting skills with extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards
  • Research guidance, prepare accounting memos, and work with external auditors to align on key areas, including but not limited to stock based compensation, debt, and business combinations
  • Preparation of analysis of actual and projected quarterly outstanding basic and diluted shares for EPS calculations
  • Lead the company's implementation of new accounting standards by evaluating the impact of new and emerging accounting standards
  • Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting
  • Monitor emerging guidance from regulators and financial reporting trends within the industry to proactively communicate impact to leadership
  • Manage filings and documentation in Workiva
  • Implement and maintain a system of internal controls that ensures that financial reporting is compliant with GAAP
  • Manage the quarter-end and year-end certification process and activities required for compliance
  • Support special projects and workflow process improvements
