Requirements
- Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age and no older than thirty-five.
- Candidates must be receiving or have received at least one child-serving agency service or state-funded service related to a youth emotional, social, behavioral, or substance-use disability.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- KFLA training is required.
- Candidates must demonstrate leadership and advocacy in behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Use relevant personal stories to teach through experience.
- Serve as a role model for clients.
- Encourage client voice and choice during the development and implementation of treatment planning.
- Support clients while they receive mental health services and empower them to be self-advocates.
- Help clients enhance relationships with community partners.
