Requirements
  • BS or MS in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline and 3+ years of industry experience for MS or 5+ years for BS industry experience in inflammation and immunology
  • In depth understanding of cellular and molecular biology techniques including cell culture, transfection, viral transduction, CRISPR, western blots, qPCR, RNA-seq, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry
  • Experience with experimental design and strong proficiency in assay execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and data interpretation
  • Extensive hands-on experience of complex immunological assays using primary human blood and tissues, especially using primary human B and T cells
  • Experience in FACS, cell culture, RT-qPCR, western blots and cell-based genetic manipulation (e.g., knockdown, knockout, overexpression) is a must
  • Outstanding organizational, record keeping, collaboration communication skills
  • Execution focused, team oriented, and highly motivated
Responsibilities
  • Use insights from literature and experimental results to design, optimize and implement robust in vitro and in vivo experiments to validate target mechanisms and translational relevance to human disease
  • Execute biochemical and cell-based assays using recombinant proteins, cell lines and primary cells isolated from blood and tissue to define drug mechanism of action
  • Work both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Utilize creativity and critical thinking skills to innovate, troubleshoot/optimize experiments and to interpret data to drive go/no go decisions
  • Must display attention to detail, sense of urgency and 'outside the box' thinking

  • Proficiency with RNA-seq, cloning and image analysis are highly preferred
