At Acelero Learning Delaware, we’re looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help maintain clean, well-functioning, and safe learning spaces for young children. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces in top shape and wants to make a direct impact on our classrooms and communities.

What You’ll Do

As a Facilities Assistant, you will:

• Perform general maintenance and custodial services across our Head Start centers and offices.

• Identify and resolve maintenance needs, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and furniture repair.

• Ensure playgrounds, parking lots, and outdoor spaces are clean and hazard-free.

• Support heating, ventilation, and safety systems through regular upkeep.

• Help with moving and setting up furniture and equipment across multiple sites.

• Distribute food and materials to Early Head Start sites as needed.

You are someone who:

• Has hands-on skills in maintenance, repairs, and basic construction.

• Works well in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being on the move.

• Is reliable, resourceful, and takes initiative.

• Is passionate about ensuring every child and staff member has a safe, clean, and functional space to thrive.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Versatile experience in general repair, carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, and more

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with minimum state insurance coverage

• Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs.

• Basic computer skills for email and work orders

This position earns up to 35,360.00 Hourly
