About the company

Astrid Entertainment builds multiplayer open-world sandbox games and uses a Open-Dev approach, inviting players to contribute ideas and feedback from the early stages to shape the game. Their primary product is an unannounced title sold to customers, with ongoing development guided by community input rather than solely internal design. The company differentiates itself through its explicit community-driven process, founders with strong modding and gaming backgrounds (e.g., Arma 3) and a focus on creative, social, and emergent gameplay in a PC online environment, aiming to align the final product with players’ desires. The goal is to create a widely adopted, player-centric game that reflects community ideas while growing through the sale of the game and a sustainable, collaborative development model.
