Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in product security, application security, or secure software development, ideally within complex or regulated product environments.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid command of secure development principles, including authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and secure communications.
  • Hands-on experience with security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security testing methods including static application security testing, dynamic application security testing, software composition analysis, fuzzing, and penetration testing.
  • Practical experience with cloud-native applications, application programming interfaces, containers, and microservices, including their security challenges.
  • Familiarity with defense, embedded, or operational technology security, including secure boot, hardware security modules, firmware integrity, or teleoperation system security.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CSSLP, CISSP, GWAPT, or cloud security credentials are a plus but not prerequisites.
Responsibilities
  • Build a robust product security program, including requirements, standards, and best practices for engineering teams.
  • Create threat models and security risk assessments for new and existing products using methodologies such as STRIDE and ATT&CK.
  • Conduct security architecture reviews to identify risks early and feed practical mitigations into product design decisions.
  • Integrate automated security testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and champion secure-by-default principles across development.
  • Establish secure supply chain practices, including evaluation of third-party components, open-source dependencies, and software bills of materials.
  • Develop vulnerability management processes covering internal triage, remediation tracking, and customer-facing disclosures.
  • Provide security guidance and targeted training across engineering teams.
  • Align security practices with IEC 62443, EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, prEN 50742, NIST SP 800-82, and the Cyber Resilience Act 2024/2847.
  • Work with software, systems, and cloud engineering teams across the product lifecycle, from architecture through deployment and beyond.
  • Engage effectively with engineering teams, leadership, customers, and auditors.

German-Ukrainian JV ARX Industries to mass-produce battle-tested Rys Pro unmanned ground vehicles for Ukraine

German company ARX Robotics and Ukraine's Roboneers have formed ARX Industries, a joint venture to mass-produce unmanned ground vehicles. The partnership will manufacture the battle-tested Rys Pro UGV across facilities in Germany and Ukraine, supporting Ukraine's target of supplying 50,000 UGVs to its military in 2026. ARX Industries aims to produce thousands of Rys Pro units in its first year, scaling to tens of thousands annually. The vehicles will handle casualty evacuation, frontline logistics, mining operations and combat roles. The joint venture integrates frontline feedback directly into production cycles. Supported by Ukrainian and German governments under the Build with Ukraine initiative, the partnership strengthens European defence manufacturing capacity whilst delivering critical equipment to Ukrainian forces.
