- Microbiology bench-reading experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited medical technology program are preferred.
- The candidate must possess qualifications for high-complexity testing as evaluated under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part 493.1489.
- Registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists is preferred.
- Perform essential duties related to one or more clinical subspecialties, including chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology/immunology, based on the assigned shift.
- Perform essential duties related to reference laboratory test processing and result reporting when assigned to customer service functions.
- One year of clinical laboratory experience is preferred; student experience is acceptable.
