The Team
This internship is with the Product Management department. Product Management is responsible for the Five9 product roadmap and works with the engineering teams that build our software as well as perform detailed analyses of the competitive landscape in which we operate.
We develop detailed product specifications and work closely with engineering scrum teams and release managers to get new Five9 products into the market.
Responsibilities
- Paired with a mentor, you will research real-world use cases for advanced analytics in contact centers with the business objective to improve customer experience
- You will develop and evaluate machine learning models for analytics of contact center operational data
- Develop and present business cases to the stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with engineering to procure customer datasets
- Report and present findings and recommendations including results in the form of a final presentation to senior leader in Product Engineering
- Build dashboards and visualizations that deliver actionable business insights to improve/optimize contact center operations
Qualifications
- Rising college senior or above, pursuing a degree in Engineering with emphasis on Analytics and Data Science
- Must be able to work out of the San Ramon, CA headquarters this summer.
- Must have a solid understanding of SQL and BI tools
- Deep understanding and experience with modern R or Python frameworks for machine learning and deep learning
- Hands-on experience applying machine learning to tackle real-world problems

This is a full-time, paid internship based out of our headquarters in San Ramon, CA. The program runs 12 weeks with the opportunity to start in late May or mid-June. This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in office is required.
