Requirements
  • Ability to plan and execute live audio, video, and lighting production at a high standard of quality.

  • Working knowledge of audio engineering, video production, lighting, and presentation systems used in live services.
  • Understanding of production workflow, including planning, rehearsal, execution, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with instructional and developmental approaches for training students in a hands-on environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading live production in a church, ministry, or comparable live event environment.
  • Good physical condition is required.
  • Ability to drive between campuses.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to affirm and uphold the Statement of Faith and the Core Values and DNA of the College, exemplifying them by word and lifestyle.
Responsibilities
  • Direct all production aspects of Highlands College chapels and special events, including equipment, infrastructure, and related technical details.
  • Plan, set up, and execute audio, video, lighting, and staging for live gatherings.
  • Serve as the primary technical producer for chapel services by attending and annotating rehearsals, instructing camera operators, and attending pre-service meetings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Central Broadcast team of Church of the Highlands and the Grandview team regarding camera-system installation and upkeep, repairs, and improvements in the Grandview Auditorium.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training benchmarks and protocols for camera operators and shaders.
  • Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain equipment in coordination with the Central Broadcast and Campus Production teams.
  • Coordinate software, hardware, and firmware update needs with the Central Broadcast team.
  • Oversee broadcast and camera-equipment training for Highlands College Live Production major and minor students.
  • Help develop teaching materials, lead training sessions, and develop student evaluations and assessments.
  • Assist with post-production editing and archiving of recorded services and events.
  • Manage Highlands College production operations required to support and facilitate chapels and events.
  • Uphold department policies regarding systems, training methods, and workflow.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental projects and engage in long-term department planning.
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with equipment vendors and pursue relationships with potential new vendors.
  • Research new products, equipment, and solutions using blogs, web forums, equipment manuals, and publications.
  • Help manage and run production equipment during special events, retreats, and conferences.
  • Participate in ministry at Church of the Highlands and Highlands College by leading small groups.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience training or developing production teams is strongly preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
