Responsibilities
  • Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La-Z-Boy.
  • Promote the Design program and assist the Designer in achieving established Design program sales goals.
  • Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process consistently and provide a favorable experience to all customers.
  • Develop and use sales skills and principles, including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow-up, after-sale service, and continuing contact with previous and potential customers.
  • Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the features and benefits of existing and new product lines.
  • Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs, including sample fabrics, furniture, tables, accessory recommendations, and the benefits of professional installation service.
  • Execute and champion the Design process according to established company guidelines.
  • Support design-related functions in the store.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to current and future customers.
  • Ensure that each customer has an informative and positive experience by using customer service skills and product knowledge while following the company selling process.
  • Use Podium effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and future follow-up.
  • Make sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote a team environment.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails.
  • Assist with customer issues and complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all store employees.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on La-Z-Boy product knowledge and selling processes and skills to achieve store sales goals.
  • Help promote and champion a culture of sales and service.
  • Maintain the store's visual appearance, including floor and showroom displays, product and accessory tags, accessory catalogs, design-center fabrics, floor moves, and general cleanliness.
  • Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
  • Complete daily On-Point system logs accurately.
  • Schedule deliveries with customers consistently.
  • Open and close the store.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

La-Z-Boy Incorporated announced on Aug. 31 plans to invest $23 million and create up to 100 new jobs through a manufacturing expansion and the construction of a new distribution center in Neosho. The company said the 150,000-square-foot facility will serve as a centralized distribution hub within its U.S. supply chain network. "Missouri is proud to see La-Z-Boy Incorporated continue to invest and grow in Neosho, reinforcing the strength of our manufacturing industry and the talented workforce that keeps it moving forward," said Governor Mike Kehoe.
