YOUR TEAM

At Nuna, we build technology to enable users (from data scientists to analysts to policy-makers) to understand healthcare data while ensuring its integrity, security and privacy. Our work runs the gamut from joining streams of messy real-world data to building queryable data warehouses to constructing visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insight. We build systems that are auditable, as automated as possible, an accurate representation of the underlying data, and, most importantly, responsive to our end users’ needs. We strive for a creative, collaborative engineering environment that implements best practices of peer review, readability, maintainability, and security of the code base and infrastructure.

The Nuna Value Platform organization builds a series of batch jobs, tools, APIs, and frontend code to deliver insights and reporting to healthcare insurance companies striving to reduce costs for high-quality healthcare to their members. This system takes raw data from insurance companies to deliver payment calculations, measurements of provider performance, and other modeling to close on care gaps. The product aims to better support providers and insurance companies when they roll out a value based care program. The teams in the value platform use AWS as a cloud provider and leverage Python, Kotlin, React, Spark, SQL, Django, and Typescript to build their tools and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Progress towards a B.S. in computer science or equivalent qualification
• Experience developing high-quality, performant software 
• Clear and crisp communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, Django, SQL, AWS, Spark, React, Typescript, or Kotlin
• Familiarity with GitHub and code reviews
• Experience analyzing data using SQL 
• Previous internships or projects involving fullstack, frontend, or backend work
• A rich, demonstrated passion for fixing the United States healthcare system

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The compensation for this position is $50/hour + housing stipend. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
