About the job
- Must have completed a four-year apprenticeship in the specified field.
- Must hold a journeyman's license.
- Must have at least two years of commercial plumbing installation experience as a plumber.
- Must have experience installing no-hub and PVC piping.
- Must know the tools and equipment needed to complete a job.
- Must be familiar with bathroom fixture installation.
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and approaches to problems.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work at high elevations.
- Be directly responsible for and maintain complete knowledge of vent, hot and cold water, wastewater, and underground piping, including copper pipe soldering and brazing.
- Oversee and supervise manpower on the job site.
- Read plans to perform necessary work.
- Perform layout and take-offs.
- Maintain a complete set of tools.
- Be responsible for company assets used on the job site.
- Make purchases at local supply houses following company procedure.
- Travel periodically to multiple job locations and work weekend or nighttime duty as needed.
