Requirements
- At least five years of experience in software development or engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis or resolution.
- At least four years of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, and C++.
- Demonstrated ability to work with open-source NoSQL products supporting highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs, such as HBase, Accumulo, and BigTable.
- Demonstrated work experience with the MapReduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
- Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System.
- Demonstrated work experience with serialization formats such as JSON and BSON.
- Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful services.
- At least three years of experience developing software for UNIX or Linux operating systems, including Red Hat versions 3 through 5.
- Demonstrated work experience in requirements analysis and design of at least one object-oriented system.
- Demonstrated work experience developing solutions integrating and extending free and open-source software and commercial off-the-shelf products.
- At least three years of experience in software integration and software testing, including developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience generating technical documents supporting a software development project.
- United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required, including TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired and may be considered equivalent to two years of experience.
- A Master's degree in a technical field may be considered equivalent to four years of experience.
- A cloud developer certification is required, such as AWS Certified Developer–Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, or Elastic Certified Engineer.
