Requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience with commercial lending products, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of preventative and detective control processes
  • Experience in financial services regulatory and compliance processes, including best practice methodologies related to exam and audit management.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner with internal and external partners.
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Adaptable to changes and can work well in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
Responsibilities
  • Detailed understanding of supervisory, regulatory, and control expectations, maintain visibility and knowledge of Lending Operations processes and procedures to ensure compliance of regulations, policies, standards, and key controls.
  • Manage audit and exam processes including timelines, deliverables, response memos, and quality assurance. Facilitate the process between Lending Operations functional owners and auditors, examiners, Risk & Control, and ORM.
  • Experienced in people, internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Manage issue identification, documentation, and corrective action plans. Efficiently managing deliverables and timelines to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Continual analysis of Lending Operations key controls points – preventative, detective, oversight; to ensure we are processing accurately, timely, completely; identify emerging issues and potential compensating controls downstream. Identifying opportunities for new areas of risk reduction and the strengthening of controls.
  • Successfully navigate through complex research and deliverables while partnering with Lending Operations leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Lead complex and highly variable initiatives and tasks with significant potential impact across multiple operations areas, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs and priorities.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing commercial loan operation processes and controls
  • Knowledge of loan accounting platforms such as LoanIQ, AFS, Flexcube, or ACBS
  • Experience in projects related to loan accounting system implementation and conversions
