About the Job
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Program Manager to join our Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) team in Raleigh, NC. The UC&C team delivers voice, video, and messaging services to the Red Hat enterprise. As part of our team, you will partner with IT associates and other organizations within Red Hat to facilitate program and project delivery, and to motivate teams to achieve program goals.
We’re looking for a leader to steward critical enterprise investments and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to programs. You will be responsible for planning, governance and overseeing the successful output of a program, made up of multiple projects and operational initiatives, to deliver communications and collaboration services to the Red Hat enterprise.
What You’ll Do
Provide overall program leadership and guidance; manage all aspects of the program, including requirements gathering, business case creation, implementation and spending
Provide steady leadership in the face of change and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company
Proactively support and coach project managers and engineers, helping manage expectations of delivery and requirements, yielding consistent results
Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program aligns with business priorities
Manage team business value delivery and OKRs in support of team goals and objectives
Manage program-level risks and interdependencies
Manage stakeholder communication and change management, promoting collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues
Provide technical expertise in planning, execution and leadership of program, projects, and initiatives
Provide program reporting, financial management and status to senior management
Develop resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities
Manage the program’s budget
What You’ll Bring
Experience managing a portfolio of large and complex technical projects
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective consultative and influencing approach
Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions
Ability to succeed in a dynamic matrix organization
Virtual and remote team leadership capability
Demonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and industry knowledge
Technical acumen; ability to understand and grasp complex and advanced technologies
Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
7+ years of project management experience, including large-scale complex projects, large portfolios or equivalent management experience
Experience working with project and portfolio management tools
Bachelor’s in computer science, information technology, management or related field
Project management certification or program management certifications are a plus

The salary range for this position is $90,480.00 - $144,660.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
