Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior janitorial cleaning experience is highly desired.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple buildings.
  • Must successfully complete and pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow the supervisor’s directions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a smartphone.
  • Must be able to frequently walk on hard surfaces, stand, bend, lift, and repeat cleaning motions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use commercial cleaning equipment and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must work around cleaning supplies and equipment, fumes or airborne particles such as dust, and moderate to loud noise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain overall cleanliness.
  • Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors while meeting hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste in designated areas.
  • Maintain odor-free and clutter-free environments throughout each facility.
  • Wipe desks, counters, tables, and chairs to remove dust and debris.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and railings to help prevent germ transmission.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain hard-surface floors, paying special attention to spills and high-traffic areas.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs and spot-clean stains when necessary.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors; remove fingerprints, smudges, and other marks.
  • Replenish restrooms and common areas with supplies such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and sanitizer; monitor inventory and report low stock levels to supervisors.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains; promptly report safety concerns or repair needs.
  • Follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment appropriately, and handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and building occupants; provide updates on building conditions, special requests, and maintenance concerns.
  • Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and site locations; manage time effectively to complete cleaning assignments across multiple facilities.
