Leviton today announced the launch of TrueArc(TM) AFCI Technology, a next-generation advancement in AFCI circuit protection now available in Leviton AFCI and Dual Function AFCI/GFCI breakers for Leviton Load Centers. Developed through years of research, development, testing and real-world field evaluation, this technology helps prevent unnecessary tripping resulting from electrical signatures that resemble faults, or nuisance tripping, while maintaining protection that meets UL 1699 AFCI requirements and supports NEC(R) AFCI compliance requirements. Leviton's new TrueArc AFCI Technology is engineered to minimize nuisance tripping and has been extensively tested in real-world field installations across the United States and Canada. As homes utilize more electronics, connected devices, LED lighting, efficient appliances, EV chargers and switching power supplies, their increasingly complex electrical signatures can resemble fault conditions. TrueArc technology provides advanced circuit protection that can better distinguish normal electrical activity from a genuine arc fault with maximum efficiency. This helps prevent contractors from having to take troubleshooting phone calls from homeowners or making site callbacks. "Electrical professionals have made it clear that reducing nuisance tripping remains one of the biggest opportunities for improvement in AFCI protection," said Aaron Ard, Vice President of Residential Product Management at Leviton. "TrueArc technology delivers the performance contractors have been asking for, significantly reducing nuisance tripping, while maintaining the protection required by modern safety standards. It's a no-nonsense AFCI solution built for today's homes and tomorrow's electrical loads." TrueArc AFCI technology combines a newly developed high-resolution sensing platform with a powerful processor that uses machine learning-based classification to continuously evaluate electrical patterns. By providing more information for analysis, the enhanced platform helps the breaker distinguish normal appliance operation and complex electronic loads from conditions that may indicate a true arc-fault hazard. To validate performance, Leviton conducted extensive field trials with electrical professionals throughout North America and collaborated with major appliance manufacturers to evaluate compatibility across a broad range of residential electrical loads. The technology was specifically developed to improve immunity to common contributors to nuisance tripping, including high-frequency electrical noise and activity occurring on neighboring circuits. The result is a future-ready AFCI platform designed for modern homes filled with electronics and sophisticated electrical loads. By better distinguishing normal appliance behavior from genuine fault conditions, TrueArc technology can help electrical professionals reduce troubleshooting visits and callbacks, improve homeowner satisfaction and spend less time diagnosing unwanted trips. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Which products feature TrueArc technology? A: TrueArc technology is available in Leviton AFCI and Dual Function AFCI/GFCI breakers for Leviton Load Centers, including standard and Smart 15A and 20A one-pole configurations. Q: Does TrueArc still meet AFCI safety requirements? A: Yes. TrueArc AFCI breakers continue to comply with UL 1699 AFCI requirements and support NEC AFCI compliance requirements. Q: Why was TrueArc developed? A: Modern homes contain more electronics, smart home devices, LED lighting, appliances and electrically complex loads than ever before. TrueArc was developed to improve compatibility with these evolving residential electrical environments while maintaining arc-fault protection. Leviton launches TrueArc AFCI breakers that use machine learning to cut nuisance tripping

Leviton has launched TrueArc AFCI Technology, designed to cut nuisance tripping, in which breakers trip because of electrical signals that resemble faults. It is available in Leviton arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) and Dual Function AFCI/GFCI breakers for Leviton Load Centers. Modern homes have more electronics, LED lighting, EV chargers, and switching power supplies, whose complex electrical signatures can mimic faults. TrueArc pairs a high-resolution sensing platform with a processor that uses machine learning to tell normal activity from genuine arc faults. The company tested the technology in field installations across the United States and Canada. It says the breakers still meet UL 1699 AFCI requirements and support National Electrical Code AFCI compliance. "TrueArc technology delivers the performance contractors have been asking for," said Aaron Ard, vice president of residential product management at Leviton.

Leviton Network Solutions expands capacity for global data center customers.

Leviton Network Solutions expands capacity for global data center customers. A global leader in end-to-end network infrastructure solutions, Leviton Network Solutions has made significant investments to expand its manufacturing capabilities across both the United States and the United Kingdom August 17, 2026 In an era of rapidly growing bandwidth and connectivity requirements, customers need partners that can deliver speed, scale, and assurance. Leviton's latest investments are designed to do exactly that, increasing production capacity, expanding customer choice, strengthening supply chain resilience, and helping projects move from planning to deployment faster. The recent expansion of Leviton's Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina manufacturing facility more than doubled its size, increasing from 55,000 sq ft to 149,000 sq ft. As the largest expansion project in Leviton's history since its founding in 1906, the investment significantly enhances the company's ability to support growing global demand. Leviton's Fuquay-Varina site manufactures a variety of multimode and single-mode fiber cable and cabling solutions used to connect data centers, commercial enterprises, industrial facilities, and harsh environments. Pre-expansion, the Fuquay-Varina facility already produced record volumes of optical fiber. Today, the expansion has unlocked even greater manufacturing capability through increased optical fiber cabling production, expanded make-to-order (MTO) assembly capacity, and enhanced engineering and product testing capabilities. For customers, the benefits extend well beyond increased production output. Greater manufacturing capacity means improved availability, shorter lead times, and increased responsiveness as project requirements evolve. Combined with Leviton's broader global manufacturing footprint, the expansion also strengthens supply chain redundancy, helping customers reduce risk and maintain project momentum, even in demanding market conditions. The Fuquay-Varina facility plays a key role in Leviton's mission to shorten time-to-value for customers worldwide while continuing to invest in the local community. Meanwhile, recent investments in Leviton's Glenrothes, UK facility have added over 100 configuration options for Leviton's high fiber count cable assemblies. Manufactured in Leviton's UK based, carbon neutral Data Center Factory, the expanded portfolio increases capacity, shortens lead times, and provides greater manufacturing redundancy across regions. This is actively helping hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise data center operators keep pace with rapidly evolving AI and high bandwidth demands. This portfolio expansion forms part of broader investments in Leviton's UK facility, where upgrades to cable, cassette, and assembly production have increased output and strengthened reliability of supply. These investments include: * Manufacturing 100+ cable types in both the UK and USA * Launching new fiber cassette production in the UK * Completing a 181 percent expansion of the UK Data Center Factory With manufacturing in both the UK and USA, including dual rated Riser/LSZH CPR B2ca constructions, Leviton gives customers more options for sourcing, simplifies project planning, and ensures key components are available when needed. As a direct result of recent investments in Leviton's Glenrothes facility, customers can benefit from: * Loose tube fiber constructions up to 576F * Support for Base-8 and Base-16 configurations * More dependable supply across regions via enhanced global redundancy * Shorter, more reliable lead times across all data center builds * High density connectivity optimized for AI clusters, cloud pods, and colocation sites Leviton Network Solutions is committed to providing the industry's best return on infrastructure investment, and that shapes its approach to expansion projects. Leviton's dedication to growth is all about providing its clients with faster deliveries and deployments, deeper scalability, and agile, robust solutions with top-tier performance.
