Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Engineering, or another technical field such as Construction Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience, preferably in the municipal, consulting, or construction industries.
  • Ability to travel an average of 2–3 days per week.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management software programs, as well as an understanding of technical plans and specifications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with partners, managers, and subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed territory sales goals by generating and qualifying leads, establishing and maintaining a high-profile presence in the industry, and executing a territory sales business plan.
  • Develop client commitment by identifying and building relationships with key decision makers.
  • Educate clients on the value of products and services through influential presentations, preconstruction support services, and project development.
  • Deliver well-specified projects by developing a strategic approach, coordinating with internal team partners, influencing adoption of industry-standard plans and specifications, and promoting the most efficient design.
  • Deliver well-budgeted projects by coordinating with internal team partners for tank and site work pricing and identifying and mitigating risks early in opportunity development.
  • Manage the territory by utilizing marketing resources, coordinating with administrative resources to maintain and update sales systems, planning and executing client meetings, and developing and maintaining accurate projections.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with general and subcontractors within the territory.
  • Leverage relationships to support cross-selling and Services product-line development within the territory.
  • Become established as an industry leader through participation in conferences, trade shows, professional organizations, client events, and community events.
