Requirements
  • Must operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties; a valid United States driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
  • A minimum of 10-12 hours per week is expected, with potential for up to 24 hours per week.
  • Facilitators should expect to work a minimum of 1-2 afternoons/evenings per week and 5-6 weekends per semester.
  • Prior outdoor leadership experience is welcomed but not required.
  • Mandatory staff development workshops and trainings (Monday nights, 6-8 pm).
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Facilitate a positive culture of risk management.
  • Assist with daily operations of program and facility areas.
  • Work in a variety of environments and roles including group-based teambuilding (indoor & outdoor), indoor climbing facilities, Stone Valley Recreation Area (boat rentals, outdoor climbing structures, facility rentals, general recreation), outdoor trip leading, and the Outdoor Adventures Rental Center.
  • May include driving University vehicles and trailers as part of job duties.
