Responsibilities
Provides nutritional support to patients receiving enteral or parenteral nutrition. Also conducts instructional programs for hospital staff, patients, and care givers. Serves all patients, including, but not limited to, neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Nutrition, Dietetics, or other nutrition related educational program.
Two (2) years of acute care experience.
Licensed Dietician by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dieticians per Georgia Secretary of State Professional Licensing Registry.
Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Must achieve Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) by the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, Inc. (NBNSC) for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) within two (2) years of hire date if candidate does not possess certification at time of hire).
PREFERRED
Master’s degree in Nutrition.
Experience managing tube feedings, parenteral nutrition, and/or working in an ICU setting.
