  • Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, complex common table expressions, aggregation patterns, and performance tuning on columnar databases.
  • Hands-on experience authoring DBT models, tests, macros, and YAML documentation, with familiarity with incremental strategies.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare claims data, including professional, institutional, and pharmacy claims; clinical electronic health record entities; and quality dimensions such as member months, coverage rates, and null patterns.
  • Ability to differentiate source data issues from transformation issues, design systematic validation checks, and communicate data quality findings clearly.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while leveraging artificial intelligence tooling to stay organized and efficient.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical judgment to identify anomalous data distributions.
  • Desire to learn and apply artificial intelligence tools for operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Independently triage and resolve pipeline data quality issues.
  • Author new DBT models and refactor existing models to meet modeling standards.
  • Understand the end-to-end data pipeline from ingress through silver and gold layers and trace data quality issues to their root layer.
  • Build working relationships with clients and cross-functional partners in Data Engineering and Customer Success.
  • Drive technical or process-focused data quality improvement projects forward.
  • Author, review, and maintain DBT models using Spark and Hudi from ingest through bronze and silver layers.
  • Help clients understand their data model, assumptions, and limitations through intentional validation.
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues, then write DBT tests to detect issues proactively.
  • Optimize SQL performance for slow-running jobs.
  • Partner with Data Engineering on table design, partition strategy, and incremental patterns.
  • Triage and classify data quality alerts, distinguishing source-level issues from transformation-layer failures.
  • Design and maintain volume monitors and data quality monitors, including null-rate, distribution, and future-date checks.
  • Author and apply clinical data quality rules for entity volume, field coverage, LOINC coverage, and referential integrity, along with claims validation rules across silver and gold layers.
  • Conduct quality reviews for connector promotions by evaluating silver entity coverage, validation-rule pass rates, and bronze-to-silver transformation correctness.
  • Own the ticket queue for data quality, attribution, hierarchy, and customer-specific data quality issues, and write clear customer-facing findings.
  • Lead data quality reviews during connector installation and promotion from user acceptance testing to production, including claims validation playbooks and null analysis.
  • Partner with Data Engineering on root-cause triage for errors, ingress anomalies, and silver-table issues surfaced through data quality monitoring.
  • Coordinate with the Measure Implementation Team when data quality issues affect quality-measure scores.
  • Contribute to and enforce data-modeling standards across teams.
  • Operate independently across the full scope of the role with minimal guidance.
  • Complete improvement projects in production with measurable impact on data quality or operational efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Spark SQL and Hudi table format.
  • Familiarity with data quality monitoring tools.
  • Experience operating in an artificial-intelligence-first environment using Claude to build and verify day-to-day workflows.
  • Exposure to population health analytics concepts, including HEDIS measures, risk adjustment, and value-based care metrics.
  • Python scripting for data investigation and automation.
  • Experience with Argo Workflows or similar orchestration platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards, including ICD-10, CPT, NDC, LOINC, and NPI.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Redshift, Apache Hudi, AWS Athena, Airflow, Git, GitHub, Grafana, and Jira.
