St. Catherine's is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing hospital wide cleaning duties per established policies and procedures as assigned.Responsibilities:*        Practice efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools.*        Perform all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor*       Perform related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.*        Maintain high standards; works steadily at efficient pace; achieves high QA score*        Assist other associates as necessary.  Responds to direction as provided.Requirements:*        High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience required*        Must be detail oriented with excellent customer service skills*        One to two years of housekeeping or service worker experience is preferred*        Must be available to work every other weekend*        Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment

Posted Salary Range

USD $22.40 - USD $22.40 /Hr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
