About the company

Porch Light Health treats substance use disorders through outpatient clinics, mobile sites and telehealth in Colorado and New Mexico. Its medical approach combines addiction medications with behavioral counseling, psychiatric care and treatment for related conditions such as hepatitis C. Patients meet with a clinician for an individual treatment plan and return for follow-up care while continuing their daily lives outside a residential facility. The practice accepts public and commercial insurance as well as private payment, with sliding fees based on family size and income. Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Rural expansion has funding: the practice announced a $6.6 million first-year Colorado award in October 2026.
  • Addiction training welcomes new graduates: Denver's full-time NP/PA role requires an active unrestricted license, board certification and DEA registration.
  • Clinical education extends its services: the practice offers an accredited, self-paced ten-module addiction treatment curriculum.

What critics are saying

  • Medication access depends on insurers: carriers determine insured patients' drug costs and coverage, according to the practice.
  • Weekend coverage spans clinics: the full-time Denver nurse practitioner/physician assistant works Tuesday-Saturday and travels between six locations.
  • Sensitive frontline work: the part-time Cortez urine collector directly observes samples at The Recovery Center's court-ordered care.

What makes Porch Light Health unique

  • Testing stays in-house: Porch Light Health's specialized Colorado laboratory screens for more than 74 drug targets.
  • Access moves quickly: the practice advertises same-day or next-day appointments in most cases.
  • Pregnancy has dedicated care: the practice runs a specialized addiction program for expectant mothers.
