Responsibilities
Log daily mail and draft correspondence necessary for day-to-day case management.
Perform balance verifications.
Assist with the resolution and protection of all subrogation lien interests.
Prepare files for litigation transfer when necessary.
Assist attorneys with settlement paperwork and disbursements.
Meet goals set by management.
Communicate and correspond with clients, attorneys, and insurance adjusters regarding case status.
Maintain consistent client contacts and provide weekly reports.
Attend monthly team meetings and mandatory quarterly meetings.
Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
Description
The Closing Paralegal provides clerical support on prelitigation files under the direct supervision of their Attorney and Paralegal Manager. The position will assist attorney(s) by providing support services including document preparation and review; communicating with clients, and other administrative duties related to the closure of the case.
Primary Tasks:
1. Case Management
Logging daily mail and drafting any correspondence necessary in the day-to-day case management
Balance verifications
Assistance with the resolution and protection of all subrogation lien interests
Preparation of file for litigation transfer when necessary
Assist Attorney with settlement paperwork and disbursements
Performs other related duties as assigned
