Vast is looking for a Facilities Manager, reporting to the Associate Director, Mojave Test Site, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations and the E-2 LOX/Kerosene oxidizer-rich staged combustion engine.

This will be a full-time, exempt position located at our Mojave Test Site location. 

Responsibilities: 

• Delegation of day to day Facilities operations 
• Effectively communicate planned facility maintenance schedules
• Ensure on time PMs for all shared facility equipment rented or owned including fleet vehicles
• Manage facilities ticketing system
• Purchase equipment, tooling and supplies for department
• Create and manage annual budget for Facilities department in Mojave
• Submittal of new and redevelopment plans to obtain Kern County permits
• Ensure adherence to state and federal laws and regulations for all department work performed
• Apply lean strategies to develop and support continuous process improvement 

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience facilities management
• Knowledge of related Cal/OSHA regulations

• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with exceptional interpersonal skills 
• Time management and shift scheduling

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, ranging from 20F to 120F, outdoors

Pay Range: 

• Facilities Supervisor: $82,800 - $101,200
• Facilities Manager: $100,800 - $123,200
