Expert Network Engineer
About the job
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, with experience substitutions permitted.
- At least 10 years of network engineering experience is required, or 15 years without a degree.
- Ten years of demonstrable experience in network engineering, LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection is required.
- Datacenter network design and architecture experience is required, including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPsec virtual private networks.
- Expert-level experience is required with system-level design, architecture, enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, packet capture software, TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and Layer 3/Layer 4 access controls.
- Experience with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filtering and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP OpenView, Cisco routers and switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, InfiniBand, Juniper, Fibre Channel SAN, and IPsec VPN is required.
- Provide network support across the supported locations.
- Physically install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
- Design and architect enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure.
- Design enterprise security boundaries and datacenter architectures.
- Create system diagrams and present high-level presentations to management.
- Use packet capture software for network support and troubleshooting.
