- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with good standing MVR
- Experience in paint, collision repair and/or related field
- Some technical training helpful
- Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
- Ability to read gauges, measurement tools, blueprints and work orders
- Keen attention to detail is required
- Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screen
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying work order, bill of materials and blueprints
- Responsible for sanding, masking and prepping bodies and parts before paintwork is started and completed
- Apply bondo/seam sealer and prepare for final finishing and sanding
- Wet sand and polish custom-colored bodies and doors
- Dispose of hazardous waste from the painting process in accordance with federal and state laws
- Observe health and safety by wearing a respirator, paint suits and all other PPE
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
