Requirements
  • A master's degree in student affairs, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution, and two years of related work experience.
  • May be required to return to campus to support students.
  • Experience or ability to provide consultation with clinical providers, crisis case management, pre-admission screening for placement, basic-needs support, and report writing.
  • Ability to communicate, problem solve, and work effectively within a diverse college environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and create a vision for completing required tasks to assist students and campus partners.
  • Skill in creating and establishing strong rapport with students, the team, and internal and external university partners.
  • Ability to create trust and maintain confidentiality with the team, campus partners, leadership, students, and campus constituents.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual assessment, support, and advocacy for Emory undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
  • Identify and coordinate care among appropriate on-campus and community resources for student needs, including housing and food insecurity, financial hardship, mental and medical health concerns, and accessibility needs, within a social justice framework.
  • Assist in coordinating support mechanisms between individual colleges and offices and university case management.
  • Participate in interdepartmental team meetings to support effective communication, tracking, and follow-up on student progress.
  • Support relationships with campus partners, including Student Health Services, Psychiatry, Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Case Management and Intervention Services, and partners in the colleges and graduate and professional schools.
  • Collaborate with and help market Eagle Food Co-Op pantry resources.
  • Accurately document all individual student contacts in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Director in collecting, analyzing, and reporting departmental data for the monthly and annual campus and community assessment process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and necessary.
