Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of degree programs, marketing, and public relations principles.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, use good judgment, and think critically.
  • Strong professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work effectively at a computer and/or on a phone for several hours at a time.
  • Adequate mobility to attend events on- and off-campus.
  • Ability to lift and carry items commonly found in an office setting, including documents and laptops.
  • Ability to use repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements to type regularly.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
Responsibilities
  • Manage recruitment and admissions processes.
  • Interact with a high volume of potential students using telephone, text, email, and video conferencing; build relationships with students to help them realize their potential and guide them to an enrollment decision.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of St. Charles and other University-affiliated offices.
  • Determine financial aid qualifications and/or awards and create financial award packages for new students in collaboration with Student Financial Services and in accordance with the University's institutional aid policy.
  • Represent University admissions at school visits, community events, college fairs, and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Meet recruitment goals and adhere to departmental policies for student outreach.
  • Meet with prospective students and families to explain program offerings, complete new student paperwork, and review admissibility standards.
  • Comply with federal, state, institutional, and accreditation policies and procedures.
  • Complete routine reports for recruitment, projections, scheduling, and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and data on applicants and admitted students.
  • Adhere to University policies regarding travel and procurement.
  • Make admissions recommendations based on holistic review of academic profiles and extracurricular qualifications.
  • Serve as a student concierge by listening to students' needs, providing solutions, and connecting them with appropriate supporting departments.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, assess outcomes, develop improved programming, identify process-improvement opportunities, and share student feedback with relevant departments.
  • Communicate and track correspondence with current and prospective students within the appropriate application.
  • Collaborate with University departments and academic schools to provide student service.
  • Assist other recruitment divisions to meet departmental needs and goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or recruitment.
  • Experience in post-secondary education recruitment.
  • A Master's degree.
