Spur offers a no-code AI test automation platform that helps websites, especially ecommerce, verify quality by running tests with thousands of AI browser agents that simulate real user actions like browsing, adding to cart, and filling forms. Users set up tests in a no-code interface and Spur’s agents execute them across sites, combining automated testing with QA services. Unlike traditional scripted tests, Spur scales through agent-based simulations to reduce costs and speed up testing for revenue-driven sites. Its goal is to make website QA affordable and scalable for online retailers by delivering automated testing alongside QA services.

Spur raises $4.5M for AI testing

Yale graduates Sneha Sivakumar and Anushka Nijhawan raised $4.5 million in seed funding for their startup, Spur, which uses AI agents to test websites for bugs. The funding round was led by First Round Capital and included participation from Pear VC, Neo, Conviction, and several angel investors. Spur, founded in 2024, emerged from Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch and stands out for its fully autonomous software tester developed while the founders were still in college.
