- Monitor front-end operations to ensure proper associate coverage, coordinate breaks, and support outlying registers to maintain efficient customer flow.
- Train associates on systems and company procedures, including scanning accuracy, productivity standards, company programs and initiatives, discount programs, EAS processes, and safety requirements.
- Oversee purchase, return, and exchange transactions, provide approvals when required, assist with correcting errors, and verify processes are followed in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ensure EAS systems function properly by confirming cashiers deactivate merchandise correctly, greeters handle alarms appropriately, and Failure to Deactivate logs are completed accurately.
- Prepare registers for daily opening and closing, support cashiers by providing change as needed, maintain appropriate front-end cash levels, and complete audits to ensure register accuracy.
- Oversee and promote company-sponsored programs and initiatives, including credit card services, Walmart Protection Plans, charity initiatives, and associate and customer discount programs.
- Manage overnight hours effectively and plan ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift.
- Handle a fast-paced workload efficiently, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.

Ted Herman of Larsen Baker said Sprouts recognized SE Pima County was extremely underserved. He shared an anecdotal story about a friend who chose Vail because of the school district and found that all the stores were sold out when he went to buy school supplies for his kids. Herman went on to say he understands Costco is close to being fully permitted and with the Walmart Superstore on the way "this a major trade corridor period. Hands down. Another developer is planning to bring in more stores. And with those stores will come more sit-down eateries. SE Pima County is one of the few areas that make sense to invest in ground up construction." He also anticipates Old Vail Road to get a complete make over with the addition of the Walmart Superstore and Costco on the same road. Sprouts openings in other cities have included free reusable tote bags for first shoppers, free flowers, pop-up parties, free samples, and a scavenger hunt. Walmart plans $300M fulfillment center in metro Cincinnati. September 30, 2026 TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, OHIO - Walmart Inc. plans to invest more than $300 million in a new fulfillment center in Turtlecreek Township within metro Cincinnati, creating more than 300 new jobs. REDI Cincinnati, in partnership with JobsOhio, announced the project following Walmart's purchase of nearly 100 acres in Warren County. The new facility, located at 760 Encore Drive, will specialize in fulfilling larger, non-sortable items, including televisions, furniture and other oversized merchandise. Walmart says the facility will help it deliver more items faster while supporting the continued growth of its next-day delivery network. Walmart maintains an existing fulfillment operation at 650 Gateway Blvd. in Monroe, which employs more than 200 associates and will continue operating.
