Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in project and process management and portfolio management, ideally in a larger organization with a complex matrix structure.
- Experience establishing project governance and methodology from scratch and improving existing governance and methodology.
- Business acumen, including understanding a company's business model and KPIs and using these to set priorities; a technological and economic mindset.
- Experience leading and developing people and teams, directly and indirectly, for at least 5 years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including engaging with C-level stakeholders, leading without direct authority, and collaborating across departments, divisions, and the parent company.
- Experience leading complex projects and transformation programs with significant organizational impact and formulating a multi-year portfolio or PMO vision.
- Knowledge of waterfall, agile, and hybrid project management approaches.
- Knowledge of portfolio management, risk management, change management, and KPI management principles, and experience with project management, portfolio, and reporting tools such as Jira, MS Project, Power BI, or AI-enabled PPM tools.
- Fluent English and ability to conduct meetings in English.
- Strong data and data-analysis skills, including advanced techniques; familiarity with Python or R is advantageous. Active use of AI, including advanced prompting techniques, and ability or readiness to delegate work to AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve the strategy for managing the portfolio of non-product corporate and transformation projects, addressing strategic topics related to company growth.
- Manage and regularly update the project portfolio, establish prioritization, and introduce capacity simulations.
- Introduce project governance and methodology where absent, including templates, processes, and decision forums such as portfolio reviews and steering committees; harmonize these with product-project governance.
- Lead selected strategic and complex projects end-to-end, from initiation and planning through execution and closure.
- Regularly report portfolio, project, and capacity status to the CFO and company leadership, and facilitate decision-making forums.
- Collaborate with Finance, ICT, R&D PMO/POM, and parent company Axis to align product and non-product portfolios and technical capacity.
- Introduce automation, digitalization, and AI tools into portfolio management and across the organization, and ensure project-data quality for future AI-driven analysis and scoring.
- Build an in-house team over time and lead collaborating colleagues across the organization through matrix management.
- Drive change across the company, gaining support from management and teams and setting the pace of change to organizational needs.
- Participate in managing, mapping, and documenting processes, especially key end-to-end processes with significant impact on company efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a technology-manufacturing company working with both hardware and software.
- Experience as a business analyst, in business process management, or with Lean approaches; familiarity with ISO or quality topics.
- Familiarity with Python or R.
