Requirements
  • Advanced degree (M.D. or Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program
  • Following accredited training pathways in alignment with suitability for licensure and clinical practice in the State of Ohio
  • If holding clinical degrees, must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment; individuals without clinical training or eligibility may be considered if actively interested in training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care
Responsibilities
  • Join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health
  • Locate within the Mood and Anxiety Program and/or the Addiction Program
  • Contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits
  • Develop, lead, or substantially contribute to clinical, education, and research programs with regard to interventional psychiatry
  • Conduct research on evidence-based neuromodulation treatments for psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, addictions, or both
  • Evaluate mechanisms and moderators of neuromodulation treatments and study clinical and functional outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness
  • Train residents, medical students, postdoctoral fellows, and interns in neuromodulation methods
  • Possess and maintain a strong record of external research funding
  • Engage in clinical care when applicable and align with licensure requirements
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise in neuromodulation techniques including low-frequency ultrasound, transcranial magnetic stimulation, psilocybin, ketamine/esketamine, and other modalities
  • Expertise and funding in evaluating mechanisms and moderators of neuromodulation treatments
  • Experience examining clinical and functional outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness of neuromodulation treatments
  • Licensed in Ohio by appointment if clinical, or demonstrated eligibility
  • Experience training residents, medical students, postdocs, and interns in neuromodulation methods
  • Strong external research funding and ability to develop, lead, or substantially contribute to interventional psychiatry programs
  • Commitment to training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care
  • Experience working within Mood and Anxiety Program and/or Addiction Program
