  • Drive change related to quality goals through standardization and research, adoption, and integration of industry best practices.
  • Collect, track, and analyze data; apply interventions as needed. Mentor quality-improvement teams in collecting, interpreting, and using data, and regularly track project progress against commitments.
  • Accept and deliver special projects that support the process-improvement department, such as PowerPoint presentations, error prevention, hand-hygiene observations, process-improvement tools, and Gemba training.
  • Develop a plan for measurable improvement of the metric associated with the assigned scope of work and make visible progress against stated goals.
  • Develop project plans for each initiative and provide current status reports.
  • Deliver a sustainability plan at the end of projects.
  • Teach and mentor others in UMMC's problem-solving methodology and, as needed, develop and conduct operational-excellence training.
