Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience such as a Paralegal Certificate.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or at least 3 years of in-house experience at a company managing or facilitating contract review and negotiation.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills; familiarity with legal documentation and compliance processes; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; and adaptability to learning other software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Possession of notary licensure or willingness to obtain licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Review, redline, and negotiate subcontract agreements, including boilerplate and project-specific scope-of-work provisions, with attorney and construction team assistance.
  • Support management of Procore and Salesforce for legal and compliance documentation and project-specific data, ensuring accurate and accessible records.
  • Draft and negotiate employment and licensing agreements with company license holders, ensuring compliance with state and company requirements.
  • Manage and update jurisdictional licensing renewals, coordinating with finance and human resources to ensure timely processing.
  • Provide legal-related assistance to marketing, finance, human resources, supply chain, business development, operations, and other departments as needed.
  • Coordinate the organizational and practical implementation of legal and compliance processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Review incident reports, update insurance claims tracking, submit insurance claims, and monitor claims processing through completion.
  • Support insurance renewals, processing, and record keeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
