About the Company

International Mission Board

Global Christian missions organization sending missionaries

The International Mission Board is a faith-based nonprofit that sends and supports missionaries to share the Christian gospel, make disciples, and establish churches worldwide, especially among unreached groups. It funds and deploys field personnel through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, so missionaries are fully funded without needing personal support; on the ground, missionaries engage communities through evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, and provide humanitarian aid via Send Relief. It differs from many organizations by being a long-standing, church-linked mission network with centralized SBC funding and a dual focus on gospel outreach and humanitarian relief. Its goal is to spread the Christian faith, establish churches, and develop local disciples and communities in regions with minimal gospel presence.
